Resources/Bridge to the Afterlife Recording Sessions

Every other Thursday is designated as a "Bridge to the Afterlife" recording day, when participants record on digital or analog (magnetic tape) recorders in an attempt to capture electronic voice phenomena. It is thought that many individuals' concurrent focused intention can enhance the ability to record EVP. Because there are EVP experimenters around the globe, Big Circle recording sessions are scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM in your local time zone on these days (see News/Updates for the current month's recording dates).

Affirmations

What is an Affirmation, and why is it needed? The dictionary definition of affirmation is:

Something declared to be true; positive statement or judgment, a solemn declaration given in place of sworn statement by a person who conscientiously objects to taking an oath; the act of affirming or the state of being affirmed; assertion.
Recent studies have demonstrated correlations between intention and physical manifestation (see books like Entangled Minds and The Power of Intention). Declaring your intention or affirmation focuses your energies on what it is you wish to accomplish, in this case communications with spirit. If you want to communicate with a loved one in spirit, try declaring your desire by using positive affirmations. State your affirmation as if it has already manifested; an example would be:
“Thank you God, for letting my daughter speak to me from the Spiritual World tonight.”
Think of this statement; visualize a blackboard inside your mind with this statement being written in white chalk; speak these words out loud. Make this statement your personal mantra to help you connect to the Spiritual World. Practice makes perfect. How much you work at developing yourself to be able to communicate via EVP is up to you. As the old cliché says, “Nothing worthwhile is free”, and this is especially true when wanting to record EVP.

Session Recording

When preparing for an EVP recording session, become quiet and still through meditation and/or prayer. A prayer of protection is suggested, since you are opening a portal into another domain, and experience has shown that denizens of other domains are as varied as they are in our physical world.

Big Circle recording sessions focus upon, but are not limited to, names in the Memorial/Spiritual listing. Ask that names on the Memorial/Spiritual Roster, and all in the Big Circle, please come through. It is helpful to have a picture of a loved one you are trying to contact, and to have a few items that belonged to that person close to the recorder.

Begin the recording (at 8:00 PM sharp if aligning with a scheduled Bridge to the Afterlife recording date). Ask any questions you wish, allowing at least 30 seconds of silence after each question for possible responses. After about 5 minutes, end the recording, then listen closely to it (ideally using headphones). Spirit uses our energy to help come through, so they may speak while you are asking your question, or during an interval of silence. End the session with a prayer of thanksgiving, sending healing energy throughout the universe.
