Resources/Starting Your Own Recording Circle

In similar fashion to many participants recording concurrently during Bridge to the Afterlife recording sessions, there is strength in numbers when several people get together to record EVP. Those interested in recording EVP within a given geographic area can connect through Internet-based resources such as www.Meetup.com, ads in local publications, even word of mouth. It is suggested that respondents be screened to help ensure they can be positive and contributing members prior to their joining your recording circle.

Suggested agenda items for recording circles include:
  • Social time (before and/or after recording)
  • Group pre-recording discussion time (previous recording results, dreams, signs from loved ones, books, etc.)
  • Group prayer of protection (open with members in a circle holding hands)
  • Group centering (light stretching, breathing exercises, etc.)
  • Group meditation
  • Participants turn on recorders; each participant asks an initial question in turn, followed by 30 seconds of silence
  • Ask additional questions if time allows; stop recording after 5-10 minutes
  • Participants play back recordings (separately or as a group depending on group size)
  • Group discussion of results
  • Group prayer of thanksgiving
